Then there are Kotumsar Caves which are situated 35 meters below ground level and around 1371 meters long. Kotumsar Cave is a subterranean limestone cave located near the banks of Kanger River in the western portion of the national park. These caves have got the distinction of being India's first most biologically explored cave. As they are underground, there is pitch-darkness inside. It features stalactite and stalagmite formations. Entry to the caves is through the narrow stairs and visitors have to pass through tall, narrow chambers for gaining access to the main hall that features superb acoustics. Chitradhara comes in the latter category. Chitradhara waterfall is an amazing example of Bastar’s beauty. On the way to Chitrakote Falls, a small river flows through the valley of a small hill and it is the beginning of the river bed of the farmers. For this reason, there is water during the rain, but in the summer, its excellence becomes faded. In the upper part of the spring, devotees made an observation spot to see the charm of a Shiva temple and waterfall. This waterfall falls from a height of 50 feet. The next main waterfall flows down from the left side of the height of 100 feet and flows towards the hills. Then we shall move on to the highlight of the day the Chitrakot Waterfalls. Chitrakot Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall situated on the river Indravati in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh state of India. The height of this waterfall is 29 meters and It is the widest fall in India, reaching a width of nearly 300 meters during the monsoon season. Because of its width and its widespread horseshoe shape during the monsoon season, it is often called the "Niagara Falls of India". We can also do boating in the river which will take us as close as 50 meters to the falling waters of the Chitrakoot waterfalls. Around Chitrakot waterfalls region a short trek leads us to the Tirtha caves. After that depending on the season we are visiting we can also visit the seasonal falls of Tandra ghumar and Mendri Ghumar waterfalls. Battisha temple in Barsur that is just about an hours drive away from Chitrakoot waterfalls region, is a 12th century temple, that is famous for its pillared architecture. After visiting the Batissha temple we can head to the wonderful waterfalls and river site called Saat Dhaara waterfalls, which is an area where the Indravathi river passed through various ravines and forms several waterfalls and thus forming an utterly delightful experience for the visitors.
